Pro-Mark Optima Bass Drum Mallets were designed by Doug Bush and feature a uniquely contoured hickory handle with a special “weight ring” at the base of the felt heads. This “weight ring” helps provide improved balance, increased head velocity, and enhanced sound projection. Hard felt elliptical-shaped heads produce a focused bass tone without denting the head.
