BB424X
is a pickguard version of BB424. BB424X makes the sound, feel and looks
driven by the incredible BB2000
series basses available to every player.
The BB series basses boast all the classic characteristics
of the original BB's, from the distinctive big body design and bolt-on
neck to vintage-style hardware and soapbar and split-coil pickups.
In Diagonal
Body Thru Stringing, strings are angled 45 degreed at the
saddle to reduce the stress and secure their tension. Moreover, because
the attachment area of strings to saddles is larger than conventional
vertial stringing, much better transmisson of vibration is obtained.
The ceramic magnet type pickup used at the front position
delivers powerful bass tone that is clear and distinct. The bar type
pickup used at the rear is designed to deliver double the volume of
conventional bar type pickups. Its high power output produces clear
tone.
While the body is inherited from Yamaha's original BB, the
neck is positioned 5mm deeper into the BB body creating a more rigid
design that improves sound and attack.
